Thou Shall be Intentional with your Quiet Time

I'm sure I'm not alone in noticing that there are a lot of distractions that the enemy can throw at us in just one day. In fact, you will hardly ever notice that you have been mindlessly browsing through social media, watching videos on YouTube and commenting on posts the minute you wake up, or an hour before bedtime or even the hours in between. That's how powerful distraction is. They say, "time flies when you're having fun". I say, mundane and thoughtless things have their way of creeping into every minute of our lives, very quickly taking over the time that otherwise would've been spent on meaningful conversations with God. Intentionally setting aside time to communicate with the Lord is the best way to counter any cleverly-disguised distraction that the world offers. It would prepare our hearts to wait for another day.

"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates, so that as long as the heavens are above the earth, your days and those of your children may be multiplied in the land that the LORD swore to give your fathers." - Deuteronomy 11:18-21
