Thou Shall Not Stop Serving

Have you ever stopped and thought about how to make your waiting time worthwhile? You may be waiting for a long time or maybe you have just started. But eventually, you will come to a point where you would be asking questions about your real purpose. I realized that to attain the happiness that I am expecting from the answered prayer that I have been waiting for, I have to stop focusing on myself and start serving other people.

Our purpose in this life is to glorify God and what better way to achieve this than to intentionally cater to the needs of others. You do not have to be an expert on counseling, singing, or preaching. Your heart is all that matters to the Lord.

"...For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7

Look for wherever there is a need and intentionally fill that need. Reach out to your local church and join a ministry or start a small group. You will find that your waiting time is not wasted and you will be surprised on how God would have prepared your heart to accept the blessing of your answered prayer.

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." - Philippians 2:3-4
