Thou Shall Not Take Community for Granted

Believe it or not, the waiting season can be a catch basin of all our worries and doubts that may lead us to isolation. We may feel the need to wallow in self-pity, think that it would be better to set ourselves far from judgment and expectations by keeping everyone out. But at the end of the day, all we really need is to talk to someone. To have someone listen and understand what we are going through and just be there for us.

Remember that we were made as relational beings. Isolation was never our design. We are meant to surround ourselves with a community who edifies and encourages us and loves us as Jesus does. The kind of support that we need at this time is a community that is bound by Christ.

"from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love." - Ephesians 4:16
